Life Before Thomas Jefferson High School

I am a Denver native and a product of Denver Public Schools. I graduated from Denver West High School in 1996 and went on to study engineering at the University of Colorado at Denver, however after 4 years or so I decided that it wasn’t for me and that my passion was teaching so I changed my major to Education. I previously taught at Denver West for 7 1/2 years. I am now in my sixth year of teaching at TJ and I am proud to be a part of the Spartan family! I have been married to my husband Gabe for six years and we had our first child, Benjamin in May 2015 and we  had our second child Ava in May 2017. We also have a puppy, Jedi, who also keeps us pretty busy and entertained. I like to travel, watch sports, and spend time with my family. We have traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Oahu, Riviera Maya, and San Diego respectively in the last eight years. I am a huge Denver Bronco fan and New York Yankee fan, however I do enjoy watching the Colorado Rockies as well.

My goal as a teacher is to provide the support and knowledge that is needed to understand mathematics. I enjoy helping students be successful in everything they do.
